Warrenton Moose Lodge Charity Car, Truck, and Bike Show

Date: May 20
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: 6415 Colonial Road, Warrenton, Virginia

You can get into Warrenton’s Moose Lodge Car Show even if you don’t know the secret moose handshake! Classic cars will fill the lot and entry fees will go to a local charity. This year, the Moose Lodge will donate the money they raise to the Fauquier Family Shelter services, said Chrisi Radcliff, the co-chairperson of the car show committee.

“We are hoping to have 75 participants this year,” Chrisi said. “We are on track to surpass our donation from last year, and we plan to have local businesses set up small booths in addition to the car show. We are excited about the car show and helping our charity. They are the one of a kind in our area, and they lost their federal funding a couple of years ago.”

Take dad out for Father’s Day and get nostalgic while supporting the American Cancer Society at the Old Town Warrenton’s Father’s Day Car Show. Hitting its stride after two decades, new events are taking place this year, says Christina Ballard, the community manager for the ACS.

“We inherited the car show from its previous planners, and it is a community favorite in the county,” Christina said. “We plan to introduce an opening ceremony to welcome guests and the people who enter the contest. More than 240 vehicles came last year and we gave out 80 total trophies. It’s an Old Town event for all ages with booths, shopping, and activities for the entire family.”

The Rockabilly Hot Rod Rumble

Date: October 14
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: 12312 Spotswood Furnace Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia

While the title alone is probably enough to entice you, there are better reasons than that to attend the Rockabilly Hot Rod Rumble. You will find food, prizes, a custom art show, a rockabilly DJ, and bull riding. You can root for your favorite ladies in the pinup girl contest. Whether you bring your pre-1975 hot rod for entry or come as a spectator, enjoy the events set up in the beautiful and historic town of Fredericksburg, located about 50 miles south of Washington, D.C.

Washington Auto Show

Date: January 26 through February 4
Time: All day
Location: Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Pl, Washington, D.C

Serious and amateur auto enthusiasts alike are welcome and encouraged to begin 2018 at the Washington Auto Show.

“The amazing variety of vehicles is certainly one highlight of the Washington Auto Show, with everything from an Aston Martin DB 11 to a Lamborghini to a Chevy Bolt EV, all under one roof at the convention center in downtown Washington,” President and CEO of the Washington Auto Show, John O’Donnell said. “The visit to the Show by President Barrack Obama on a Tuesday afternoon in 2012 was the most exciting thing! The hall was electric with excitement and despite the fact the last-minute nature of the President’s schedule had us all scrambling, everyone had a big smile on their face.”
